Dr. Young-Geun Lee
Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority
Dr. Young-Geun Lee is Commissioner of Incheon Free Economic Zone(IFEZ) Authory, which operates the nation’s biggest FEZ for global businesses in Korea. IFEZ was established in August 2003 to develop a central business city of Northeast Asia with the highest competitiveness in the global stage of the 21st century.
Dr. Lee is an urban policy specialist with almost 40 years of experience in both public and private sectors.
He has served as a government official since 1977 and became Director General of Urban Environment Planning at the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT) in 2008. In 2010, he was appointed as a vice president of Incheon Intl. Airport Co.
Between 2013 and 2015, he taught at Graduate School of Korea Aerospace University, Seoul National University, The State Univ. of New York, Korea.
He was appointed as the 4th Commissioner of IFEZ Authority in 2015 and is committed to improving the quality of life for citizens and actualizing the vision of ‘The Best Global Business Frontier in the Northeast Asia by 2030’ while pursuing external growth, attracting more global corporations and elevating the value of the smart & green city, IFEZ.
